Yacht Charter

The luxury yachts are mostly privately owned bodies. Some people however use it for their private purposes while some like to rent it part time. Yacht chartering is nothing else but giving your yacht on rent. One may rent their luxury sailboat or even motor yacht. Most of the people who charter a yacht use it for business purposes and even for group travels across the world. Many people find it the most apt corporate even while many just want to spend some time with their family by employing the services of yacht charter.

Yacht charters are of two types:

• bareboat and
• Crewed.

If a person rents a boat and skippers it himself, it is called bareboat charter. In fact you can get yourself prepared for bareboat chartering if you want to go for bareboat charter. These courses are offered by the bareboat companies themselves. However, even after the course in case you aren't comfortable, these companies only provide you the services of skippered charters by providing you with a skipper along with the boat. Remember that the company only provides you with a skipper and not the entire crew. Even the prices go high with the addition of skipper.

A charter that comes with a crew is a crewed charter. The size of this type of yacht charter may vary according to your need of the yacht and the crew members. Mostly in such type of yacht, a husband and wife serve as your captain and chef. This may be perfect for a smaller yacht, say of 35 foot. However, with the change of requirement the size of the boat and the number of crew members change. For a 300 foot boat, you will need a crew of at least 30 members that comprise of engineers, stewardesses, deckhands, mates, scuba dive masters etc. It may increase anytime.

The cost of the charter is inspired by many factors. These factors are definitely the size of the yacht, its pedigree, the age of the yacht, the place you are sailing to, the number of days or months you will charter the yacht and the number of crew members you are taking along. The rate per week of a luxury sailing yacht is nothing less than Euro 661,500.00 and extends up to Euro 20,000.00. This only includes the basic rental money and not the additional charges for various services you enjoy on board. Then there is a decent amount of tax also to be paid. Apart from the basic rental, one spends extra percentage that counts to something around 25% to 30% on fuel, food and service.

Yacht charters are thoroughly luxurious and nothing short of elegance in water. It’s a self contained world that has everything right from television with satellite connections to a swimming pool, library, Jacuzzi, bar, gym and dining area. The services of yacht charter are superior and at no point you will feel that you have to do any kind of compromise when it comes to services.
