Mostly in such type of yacht, a husband and wife serve as your captain and chef. This may be perfect for a smaller yacht, say of 35 foot. However, with the change of requirement the size of the boat and the number of crew members change. For a 300 foot boat, you will need a crew of at least 30 members that comprise of engineers, stewardesses, deckhands, mates, scuba dive masters etc. It may increase anytime.
The cost of the charter is inspired by many factors. These factors are definitely the size of the yacht, its pedigree, the age of the yacht, the place you are sailing to, the number of days or months you will charter the yacht and the number of crew members you are taking along. The rate per week of a luxury sailing yacht is nothing less than Euro 661,500.00 and extends up to Euro 20,000.00. This only includes the basic rental money and not the additional charges for various services you enjoy on board. Then there is a decent amount of tax also to be paid. Apart from the basic rental, one spends extra percentage that counts to something around 25% to 30% on fuel, food and service.
