Ras Al Khaimah’s wealth in days gone by was earned through the developing of sailing dhows. This is a strong wooden boat in Ras Al Khaimah, which is made by hand and it can still be seen on Maarid Beach. The people of Ras Al Khaimah were always great seafarers. From the earliest of times, the people of Ras al Khaimah used their boats for fishing, pearling and also for transporting their trade as far away as Africa and China.

RAK is a nation which has attracted investors in recent years through a boundary-pushing grand plan. The developing port is one of the best ways of building a bridge to the world, as it plays an important role in both the export and re-export business. The main port, Mina Saqr has deepwater berths for bulk handling, thus will encourage and invite investors to park and invest in a boat in Ras Al Khaimah.
